Cannot play videos?
A huge number of people are confronted with the same question of how to play video on an Apple computer. However, few seem to understand that the answer is not highly predictable and cannot be given without knowing the details of the kind of video that one wants to watch in the computer. For example the video can be a DVD movie, or a movie which has been downloaded from the internet or it can also be a video file, or a movie on a page,. Now depending on what kinds of Video play one is talking about the answer is sure to vary from one option to the other. For the first case let us assume that the kind of video you were talking about is a DVD video. In that case you have a very simple thing to do. Apple computer are generally called Macs and have some specific models such as iMac and others. In most of the cases you could just enter the DVD in the DVD drive and the video would start playing soon enough, however a worst case scenario is always possible in which case you can one would have to open the hard drive, and then open the Applications folder.
After that you would have to search for the file by the name of DVD player and the movie or whatsoever is inside the DVD would start playing at once but such a situation does not arise normally. However if by videos you meant something which has been downloaded from the Internet then the procedure might be little different. Also a video is nothing but moving picture and simply saying the word video hardly discloses any relevant information about the format in which the video is present. For example if you have happened to download a video or a song from iTunes website then it is pretty apparent that iTunes will itself start playing it using QuickTime which is a software of the both the Apple computers and the Windows PC which comes free with iTunes thereby helping it to play videos.
